Unlock Cross-Sectoral Cooperation: Portable Educational Escape Rooms Project

Educational Escape Room

Exciting things are happening! The Swedish organisation Awesome People has teamed up with Projekta Malta for an innovative Erasmus+ project titled “Unlock Cross-Sectoral Cooperation.” Together, we are pushing the boundaries of education and collaboration to create engaging and sustainable community solutions.

Portable, Educational Escape Rooms

Awesome People, known for their expertise in creating portable educational escape rooms, has been leading the way in experiential learning. These escape rooms are crafted to provide an immersive, hands-on learning experience where participants solve puzzles related to various topics. The escape rooms are a fantastic way to boost engagement in learning—they make it fun to discover new concepts. It’s a hands-on activity where players don’t even realise they are absorbing new knowledge because they are so immersed in the experience!

Through this project, educators from Malta participated in training in Sweden, where they learnt how to create these engaging escape rooms, which they later tested locally.

The aim is to use these escape rooms not only as educational tools but also as a platform for collaboration between different sectors—schools, youth workers, NGOs, and beyond—spreading valuable skills in an exciting, interactive format.

Guides for Growth and Sustainability

This cross-sectoral cooperation project also includes the development of two comprehensive guides to be shared with everyone interested:

  • Guide to Creating Educational Escape Rooms – Designed by Awesome People, this guide will help you learn how to create your own immersive escape room experience that facilitates learning, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.

  • Guide on Financial and Marketing Strategies for NGOs – Projekta Malta has crafted this guide to help NGOs build stronger financial and marketing strategies, enhancing sustainability and impact.

These guides will be available for free online in Summer 2025, and we’re inviting everyone to subscribe to receive them as soon as they are released.
