Projekta Digital Rules & Wellbeing Guide

At Projekta, we want everyone to feel safe, respected, and comfortable – both offline and online. These are the rules we all follow when using phones, social media, group chats, photos, and personal data during our activities.

🔒 Your Data & Privacy

  • We only collect information needed for the project.
  • Your data is kept secure and confidential.
  • You can ask to see, change, or delete your data at any time.
  • If the law requires it, we may share certain information, but we’ll be transparent.

📸 Photos & Videos

  • We will always ask before using photos or videos for promotion.
  • You can say no – and change your mind later.
  • Ask before posting pictures of others.
  • Respect anyone who doesn’t want to be photographed.
  • Think before tagging people or our organisation – posts last longer than you think.

💬 Group Chats & Online Spaces

In WhatsApp or other platforms:

  • Be respectful and kind.
  • No bullying, hate speech, or harassment.
  • Keep things appropriate.
  • Report anything that makes you uncomfortable.
  • Staff moderate the groups.

📱 Phone Use & Balance

We love tech – but not when it takes over the experience 🙂

During activities:

  • No phones during sessions unless needed.
  • Be present with the group.
  • Use devices mainly in free time.
  • Respect rest time.

🚦 Boundaries with Staff & Volunteers

  • Staff use group chats or official accounts.
  • One-to-one messages only when necessary.
  • Everyone deserves privacy and respect.

🆘 If Something Feels Wrong

Tell us if:

  • Someone is bullying you online.
  • You get uncomfortable messages.
  • You see worrying posts.
  • You feel unsafe or pressured.

You can speak to:

👉 a facilitator, leader, or volunteer

👉 our Safeguarding Lead: Olga Attard, Director, olga@projekta.mt

We take concerns seriously and treat them confidentially.

🤝 Our Shared Responsibility

We all help create a safe digital space by:

  • Respecting consent.
  • Thinking before posting.
